Jette Vandermeiden, one of the three jurors for the 2018 CW Complexity exhibit in Reno will be the guest speaker at our second southeast gathering open to all CW members.
“Jette weaves all types of cloth on looms with four and more shafts, but her love is producing Damask and Scandinavian weaves on her drawlooms. She teaches extensively, presenting seminars and workshops at colleges, conferences and guilds, locally and internationally.”
This weekend offers lectures and hands on experiences starting Friday evening April 12 and ending Sunday April 14, 2019
Schedule:
Friday pm Intro, dinner and 1 hour lecture What Goes Up? A study of drawloom theory
Saturday am 2 hour lecture Blended Draft
Saturday afternoon Hands on and Show and Tell (favorite part of Gathering 2017)
Saturday pm Dinner 1 hour lecture The Noble Napkin
Sunday am 2 hour Critique Session (Jette will gear this to the audience’s interest-general to specific questions, items brought by participants may be critiqued etc.
Sunday noon Lunch with Closing
Cost: $175.00 CW members, $225 non CW members.
